When choosing the name for my practice, I wanted something that symbolized the essence of what the therapeutic space means to me. After years of admiring the heron from afar & some research on the symbolism it often stands for, I knew it would be the perfect representation for this space & what I hope to offer my clients.

Heron Pointe Counseling was inspired by the tranquil grace of herons - symbols of patience, balance, & self-reliance. Herons are often seen standing still, waiting patiently for the perfect moment to catch their next meal. They don’t rush or chase what they need. To me, this reflects a vital truth: your value is not tied to productivity. It’s okay to simply be where you are.

This space is a starting point for introspection & peace—a place where you can embrace your journey, find balance, and learn to trust in yourself.
